Gaza Strip - Recent The Palestinian death toll from the ongoing Israeli military operations in the Gaza Strip has risen to 43,061, the Gaza-based health authorities said in a statement on Tuesday. In the past 24 hours, Israeli military operations in Gaza killed 41 people and wounded 113 others, bringing the total number of injuries to 101,223, according to the statement. The death toll doesn't include the 93 deaths and dozens of injuries following an Israeli attack on a building in Beit Lahia in northern Gaza on Tuesday. The Palestinian Ministry of Education and Higher Education said in a statement on Tuesday that 11,852 Palestinian students had been killed since the new round of Palestine-Israel conflict began in October 2023. In the period, 560 teachers and administrators were killed and 3,729 were injured in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, and more than 148 were arrested in the West Bank, according to the statement. A total of 362 public schools, universities and their buildings, and 65 schools affiliated with the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) have been bombed and vandalized in the Gaza Strip, the ministry said.
