Masnaa, Lebanon - November 07, 2024 The death toll from Israeli attacks on Lebanon since the beginning of the latest round of Israeli-Hezbollah conflict on Oct. 8, 2023 had reached 3,243, with injuries rising to 14,134, according to the Lebanese Health Ministry on Monday. At least 28 people have been killed and many others injured in an airstrike in the village of Ain Yaaqoub, located in Akkar Governorate in northern Lebanon, the Lebanese National News Agency said on Monday. Akkar is situated at the northernmost tip of Lebanon, about 180 kilometers from the temporary border with Israel. The ongoing clashes between Israel and Hezbollah began on Oct. 8, 2023 -- one day after Hamas launched an attack on Israel. Since Sept. 23 this year, the Israeli army has intensified airstrikes against Hezbollah targets across Lebanon, resulting in significant civilian casualties and forcing many residents to flee their homes.
