Beirut, Lebanon - Recent

The Lebanese death toll from the ongoing Israeli attacks had risen to 2,306 since October of last year, with 10,698 others injured, said the Lebanese Health Ministry on Sunday.

On Saturday alone, the Israeli attacks killed 51 Lebanese and injured 174 others, according to the ministry.

The ministry said the Israeli raids had resulted in 14 deaths and 63 injuries in southern Lebanon, and 10 deaths and 50 injuries in Nabatieh.

It added that three people had been killed and 11 others wounded in Bekaa, with 13 injuries reported in Baalbek-Hermel.

It also noted that 22 people had been killed and 33 others injured in Mount Lebanon, while two people had been killed and four others injured in north Lebanon.

In addition, unnamed Lebanese military sources reported on Sunday that an Israeli warplane fired four air-to-ground missiles at a house in Mayfadoun village deep in southern Lebanon, killing seven civilians and wounding one other.

Since Sept. 23, the Israeli military has been carrying out an extensive air campaign in Lebanon, dubbed "Arrows of the North," in a dangerous escalation with Hezbollah.

Since Oct. 8, 2023, Hezbollah and Israeli forces have been exchanging fire along the Lebanese-Israeli border, stoking fears of a wider conflict as the war between Hamas and Israel continues in Gaza.
