Park ranger serenades mule at the Yosemite National Park
This is the amusing moment a park ranger serenaded a mule at the Yosemite National Park in California.
Video shows Ranger Kate strumming her guitar and singing for the mule named Josh to celebrate National Mule Day or Mule Appreciation Day on October 26. The animal nuzzled up to her seemingly to show his enjoyment of the musical number.
Kate said the song was also a send-off as the park's work mules were heading out to pastures in California's Central Valley for the winter.
She said: 'The end of October is a really important time of the year for our mules like Josh here, because they actually get to go and have the winter off in a big pasture land that the National Park Service has leased out in the Central Valley.'
Mule Appreciation Day, celebrated in the US on October 26, honours the hardworking mule for its strength, endurance, and historical contributions to agriculture and transport.
