Málaga, Spain - November 14, 2024 The city of Málaga, recently battered by torrential rains, is now capturing global attention through aerial footage that unveils the catastrophic effects of the storm. The footage, taken by local police, showcases the dramatic transformation of the city's landscape, highlighting the aftermath of what has been a tumultuous weather event. As the region begins to recover, the Spanish State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) has announced the deactivation of the red alert for heavy rainfall in Málaga's Sol-Guadalhorce and Axarquía regions, previously in effect until 8:00 AM this Thursday. Consequently, no area in Andalucía is currently classified under extreme risk from weather conditions. While Málaga has been spared further immediate threats, the orange alert continues for the entirety of Huelva province, much of Seville except for the Sierra Norte region, which is under a yellow alert, and all along the Cádiz coastline along with its countryside.
