Chinese boy defies medics and climbs stairs unaided
This is the heartwarming moment a Chinese boy defied medics and climbed the stairs unaided.
The eight-year-old child, diagnosed with a rare disease and thought to be unable to stand for life, was spotted slowly climbing the stairs in Wuxuan, China, on November 20.
Footage shows his mother in shock as she watches her son walking. Two of his brothers can be seen cheering him on as he confidently walks across the floor.
Local reports said that the boy had relied on liquid food due to swallowing issues he struggled with when he was three years old. However, five years later, he is now able to sit, walk, and climb the stairs on his own.
