Football is a deeply cherished passion among the Rohingya refugees in Cox's Bazar, Bangladesh, especially among the youth. However, despite the enthusiasm, many children and young people are unable to play due to overcrowded living conditions, lack of open spaces, and inadequate resources. Makeshift shelters and limited access to proper football equipment and coaching further hinder their ability to engage in the sport. While football provides a sense of unity and escape, the ongoing trauma of displacement and the absence of organized recreational programs prevent many from fully enjoying or pursuing the sport. There is a pressing need for better infrastructure, training opportunities, and mental health support to help these youths overcome their challenges.
