The moment a Recycling Truck rolls through a $3.47 million house auction in Sydney
This video shows a recycling truck rolling through bidding for a house in Sydney Australia. (Bidding happens on the street). In this case, the house was unusually expensive but surprisingly small. (it sells for A$3.47 million (US$2.23m) and is only 6 metres wide).
The auctioneer pauses briefly as the diesel engine roars through and gives the driver a friendly "G'day Mate!" before continuing to take bids and pushing the price up to $3.47 million.
The house was 17 Thomas St, Darlington Sydney. The date was 19 October 2024. The auction was in the morning. Approximately 50 neighbours, onlookers and bidders gathered for the event. Around 10 separate parties bid for the house.
