The Syrian opposition's green-white-and-black flag with three stars has been installed on the country's embassy building in Moscow, a Xinhua witness said.
Previously, local news agencies reported that the red-white-and-black Syrian flag with two stars had been removed from the building, along with a sign bearing the name of the diplomatic mission.
Syrian President Bashar al-Assad and his family have reportedly arrived in Moscow and been granted asylum by Russia out of humanitarian considerations.
