The Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Youth Cultural Exchange was held over the weekend in Kunming, southwest China's Yunnan Province.

They participated in traditional Chinese cultural activities, such as pottery making and tie-dye.
SOUNDBITE 1 (English): MASHA, Youth representative from Uzbekistan
"Now we are doing tie-dye in the class. It's interesting to have it now to do it by yourself. I find it really interesting. And I hope in the future we'll have more such things because I really like Chinese culture, things to do by yourself."
SOUNDBITE 2 (English): ABDELHADI, Youth representative from Chad
"Today, we had activities (such as) drawing. So I drew this one, which looks like a sunset. I remember one day in my country, I was just sitting and watching the sunset."
SOUNDBITE 3 (Chinese): PHONVISACK VINATH, Youth representative from Laos
"Today, I drew this picture because I really like Nailoong (a Chinese cartoon character). There's a Nailoong in my drawing because it's so cute. I've watched its cartoon, and I also included my name on it. It is a special memory for me today. I've never drawn something like this before, and I'm really happy."
