Terrifying Close Call: Falling Debris Nearly Hits 4-Year-Old in Fujian
chilling incident of falling debris from high above has sparked widespread concern in Zhangzhou, Fujian. On January 11, at 11:27 a.m., surveillance footage captured the moment when a large amount of concrete fragments suddenly plummeted from a high-rise building, narrowly missing a 4-year-old girl playing in the courtyard below.
The girl’s mother recounted the terrifying ordeal, stating that chunks of cement from the building’s exterior wall shattered the courtyard tiles. Thankfully, her daughter escaped physical harm but was left deeply frightened.
The property management team confirmed the cause: the aging and deteriorating invisible anti-theft net on a 17th-floor apartment had given way, sending the debris crashing down. In response, the management has urged all residents to inspect and address similar safety hazards promptly.
