British singer Ed Sheeran took Bengaluru by surprise with an impromptu performance on Church Street on Sunday morning. Without prior announcement, the global music star began singing on the footpath, drawing an excited crowd.
However, as the gathering grew, Bengaluru Police intervened to manage the situation. Unaware of Sheeran’s identity, officers asked him to stop the performance due to a lack of official permissions. Footage shows one officer unplugging Sheeran’s microphone mid-song.
The singer, in Bengaluru for his scheduled concert, gave fans an unexpected treat despite the brief interruption. His street performance has since created a buzz among the city's music lovers.
