Girl's hair catches fire from candle on bar table as she leans over
This is the dramatic moment a girl's hair caught fire from a candle on a bar table as she leaned over.
Two women were dining at the restaurant when one of them adjusted a chair and accidentally placed her hair too close to a lit candle, setting it ablaze in Guangdong, China, on February 9.
CCTV footage shows the victim's hair catching fire, prompting them to rush to the toilet to douse it with water.
They managed to put out the flames, and her friend helped fix her hair by combing it.
The victim said: 'My face is fine, and my scalp is fine, but I have less hair now. I would like to thank everyone for their well wishes and concern.'
Hair is primarily made of a protein called keratin, which can catch fire and burn if exposed to an open flame or high heat.
