A couple were arrested for allegedly stealing Lululemon yoga gear worth more than 40,000 USD.

Jennifer Carolina Montano Bautista, 35, reportedly shoplifted the luxury fitness apparel before staff reported her at a store along Howell Mill Road in Atlanta, Georgia, on February 8.

Cops arrived as the suspect was trying to flee the scene. Bodycam footage shows her in a grey sweater and cap being caught and cuffed by police officers.

As more police arrived at the scene, they noticed a 'suspicious' car speeding away. They conducted a traffic stop and apprehended the driver, Robert Baez, 34, at the scene.

The Atlanta Police Department said in a statement: 'A search of the suspect vehicle revealed a number of Lululemon clothing products, most of which still had the price tags and hangers attached to them.

'Officers also observed a shopping bag lined with a tinfoil type of material which is commonly used by shoplifters to avoid theft detection devices.

'Officers later went back to the Lululemon store to return the stolen clothing which totalled 440 items. Officers were provided with an itemized receipt of the stolen items which came to a whopping $38,709.59.'

The duo were later hauled to the Fulton County Jail.

Bautista faces charges including theft by taking, conspiracy, and obstruction of law enforcement, while Baez faces multiple charges, including theft by taking, fleeing, and possession of marijuana.
