Floodwaters submerge roads, motorcycle carried by truck in Leyte, Philippines
On February 10, 2025, in Leyte, Philippines, @merae.asmol shared a video of floodwaters submerging the entire region. In the video, motorcycle riders struggle to pass through the flooded areas, but with assistance from tractors and trucks, they manage to get through. Several road sections in Eastern Visayas were closed due to landslides and flooding caused by heavy rains from the shear line. The road in Barangay Liberty, Mayorga town, remains impassable, affecting the nautical highway that connects Luzon to Mindanao.
