Go Vegan!” The group aimed to slam the event’s In-N-Out burger menu. They accused it of harming animals and the planet. Shouting, “Eating meat kills animals and the planet! Please, go Vegan!” they stopped the party cold. Security quickly escorted them out. The protest ties into PETA’s campaign for a vegan menu at Vanity Fair events. They argue meat fuels the climate crisis and disasters like wildfires. Those fires recently torched parts of Los Angeles and nearly canceled the Academy Awards. PETA notes that vegan options would suit stars like Ariana Grande, Cynthia Erivo, Colman Domingo, Demi Moore, and Diane Warren, all nominees this year and vegan. Tracy Reiman, PETA’s Executive Vice President, spoke out. “While Vanity Fair serves In-N-Out to celebrities, the meat industry slaughters billions of animals,” she said. “It’s pushing the planet past its breaking point.” She called animal agriculture a dire threat.
