New York – Chaos erupted moments ago at the Giorgio Armani fashion show in the Park Avenue Armory when a PETA supporter, clad in a "snakeskin" leotard reading "Armani: Drop Wild Animal Skins," stormed the runway. The activist, brandishing a sign with a graphic image of a bloodied alligator, doused herself in fake blood before being forcibly removed by security. Another protester soon followed, continuing the disruption.

The dramatic demonstration targeted Armani's use of exotic animal skins in his collections, which PETA condemns as cruel and outdated. "While Armani plies his wares in New York City, the vulnerable animals sentenced to die for his designs languish in pain and filth before they’re violently killed," said PETA Executive Vice President Tracy Reiman.

PETA's campaign highlights brutal practices documented in the exotic leather trade, including the abuse of snakes, crocodiles, lizards, and ostriches. Many luxury brands like Chanel and Burberry have already banned such materials, a move PETA insists Armani should follow.
