This is the amusing moment red pandas were spotted relaxing in their enclosure at Milwaukee Zoo.

Adorable footage shows the red bearcats, Erin and Dash, perched on a wooden platform, seemingly enjoying the breezy weather in Wisconsin on March 4.

They can also be seen sticking out their tongues as they lounge in their enclosure.

Red pandas are typically shy and solitary animals, but they also have a sweet side and are known to be intelligent and playful creatures.

They are classified as endangered and are listed as such by the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN).

Researchers found out that the total population of red pandas has declined by 40 percent over the past two decades. The exact number of red pandas in the wild is unknown but is estimated to be fewer than 10,000. This has prompted action among rehabilitation centres and sanctuaries to help restore their population.
