[Note: undated footage] The 23rd Chief of the General Staff, LTG Herzi Halevi, and the 24th Chief of the General Staff, LTG Eyal Zamir, visited the Western Wall and the National Memorial Hall for Israel’s Fallen Soldiers at Mount Herzl during the day of the change of command. The visit to the Western Wall took place with the participation of the Chief Military Rabbi, BG Rabbi Eyal Karim, and the Rabbi of the Western Wall, Rabbi Shmuel Rabinovitch. The outgoing and incoming Chiefs of the General Staff visited the National Memorial Hall, where they laid a wreath and lit a memorial candle in honor of Israel’s fallen soldiers who sacrificed their lives in defense of their homeland. The 23rd and 24th Chiefs of the General Staff saluted the memory of those under their command, commanders and friends who fell in the line of duty during combat. [Note: no sound]
