Gas cylinder launched across road following series of explosions at residential complex in China
On March 7, a series of explosions occurred in the Wenjinyuan residential community in Siyang County, Suqian City, Jiangsu Province.
Videos of the incident show massive flames and deafening explosions, which happened multiple times in succession. A gas cylinder was propelled high into the air, resembling a rocket, and landed across the road, narrowly missing pedestrians.
Following the explosions, local firefighters, police, and medical personnel swiftly arrived at the scene to bring the situation under control.
Eyewitnesses claim the explosions were caused by a gas leak, possibly originating from a gas refilling station within the residential community.
As of now, authorities have not released an official statement detailing the cause of the explosion, the number of casualties, or the progress of the investigation.
