Recently, in Xi'an, Shaanxi, the large-scale live-action performance *Legend of the Camel Bells* at the Huaxia Cultural Tourism Resort has garnered widespread attention. The most striking aspect of the show is the sight of dozens of real wolves running across the stage and through the theatre, leaving the audience astonished.

The theatre staff confirmed that the wolves used in the performance are indeed real—specifically, a domesticated breed of Siberian plains wolves. While they retain wolf ancestry, they pose no danger. During the show, the wolves follow a predetermined path under the guidance of handlers, interacting with the actors. To ensure audience safety, protective barriers separate spectators from the animals, and a safety announcement is played before the performance to inform viewers that live animals will be present.

*Legend of the Camel Bells* aims to delve into the rich cultural heritage of the Tang Dynasty, tracing the journey of trade caravans along the Silk Road. With gripping storytelling and outstanding performances, the show highlights the cultural exchanges between East and West. The inclusion of real wolves on stage is designed to authentically recreate the hardships of the Silk Road. While prioritising audience safety, this innovative element provides a unique and immersive theatrical experience.
