Fans mobbed a Chinese star at an airport before he ran away.

Internet celebrity Hu Kaixuan arrived at Hangzhou International Airport, where he was swarmed by his supporters in Zhejiang, China, on March 7.

Footage shows men and women filming him before he decided to dash away from the crowd.

He can be seen hurdling over the rope barricade and running from the fans as they chased after him.

The celebrity managed to get away and was then reportedly escorted by security personnel.

Locals were enraged by the fans' behaviour, saying that they should leave the actor alone.

One of them said: 'If I see my idol, I will not chase them. I will just adore them from a distance because they have a life and should feel free to do what they want in public.'
