A waiter at a fancy restaurant struggled to serve pasta out of a wine glass.

Footage shows the server attempting to elegantly slide the creamy carbonara but it stubbornly clung to the glass at Soriano's Cafe in Cavite, the Philippines.

The supposedly unique presentation turned into an awkward mishap as it took longer than planned and was not as photogenic as they had hoped.

Customer Jasmine Asuncion waited patiently until the worker was done plating and garnishing the top of the pasta with cheese and crispy bacon bits on December 18.

Jasmine said: 'It was our second time eating there when they did the gimmick. It was a nice strategy but the waiter seemed nervous.

'We still appreciated their effort and the food tasted good so we did not mind.'
