A wild sandstorm raged through a car park in Mexico.

Dramatic footage shows the dust blizzard sweeping across the area, engulfing vehicles in Ciudad Juarez on Tuesday, March 18.

The storm, accompanied by winds of up to 120 km, began to form shortly after 2 pm. It quickly covered the city and spread towards El Paso, Texas, and other nearby areas.

Authorities warned that such freak weather can affect visibility and cause respiratory issues, particularly for individuals with lung conditions. Officials recommended avoiding outdoor activities, wearing a face mask, and driving with caution.

Ciudad Juarez International Airport suspended several flights, and classes were cancelled at various educational institutions as a precautionary measure.
