A golf player whacked the ball against a roof - leaving his coach ducking in fear.

Roche Capuz, 29, was training at a driving range when he accidentally hit the ball at an awkward angle, sending it ricocheting off the roof in Cavite, the Philippines.

Footage shows Roche's ball rebounding dangerously close to his friend Arvic Dela Rosa.

Roche apologised but the startled coach quickly looked up in shock while the golfer burst into laughter.

The golfer said: 'I was playing golf with my friend Arvic who was helping to coach me. I hit the roof and he was scared. He was worried about being hit by the ball on my next swings.'

Arvic then used wooden panels to shield himself against Roche's balls until he finally left his side to stay at a safer distance at the driving range on March 5.
