Squirrel seen scratching its belly on a piece of wood
A squirrel was seen scratching its belly on a piece of wood in a family's garage.
The smart rodent entered the property where it found the block and relieved an itch using it in Bangkok, Thailand.
Footage shows the Finlayson's squirrel pressing its underside against the wood, shifting back and forth.
It was spotted by resident Chonthicha Tangkesetsararn, 33, who was watching from inside their home on March 25.
She said: 'I am unsure what it was actually doing but the squirrel looked like a clever animal.'
A squirrel may scratch its belly on wood to relieve an itch, mark its scent, or groom itself, trying to remove dirt, loose fur, or other irritants.
