Los Angeles, United States - April 01, 2025 04/01/2025 09:22 pm (GMT-0700) DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES, Calif. – Los Angeles School Police officers were involved in a crash late Tuesday evening in the 1000 block of South Figueroa. At least one officer was in a patrol car when it was rear-ended by a woman driving a Jeep. Officers from the Los Angeles Police Department's Central Division reported that the officers experienced pain in their necks and arms, leading to a request for the Los Angeles Fire Department to respond to the scene. The LAFD evaluated the officers, but they refused transport to a medical facility. The woman driving the Jeep was not injured. LAPD officers requested a Central Traffic officer to conduct a DUI investigation, during which a field sobriety test was administered, and it was determined that the woman was under the influence. It remains unclear what substances the woman was under the influence of at the time. Witnesses reported that the woman acted belligerently toward officers, cursing and calling them names while displaying erratic behavior. She was taken into custody and transported to a local police station.
