Los Angeles, United States - April 03, 2025 04/03/2025 12:03 am (GMT-0700) WESTLAKE, LOS ANGELES, Calif. – A structure fire occurred early Thursday morning at a three-story apartment building under construction in the 100 block of North Carondelet Street in the Westlake neighborhood. The Los Angeles Fire Department received the call at approximately 12:02 a.m. and reported that the building was well-involved in fire and multiple nearby structures were at risk. As of 12:19 a.m., firefighting efforts were ongoing, with the fire department working to contain the flames and protect adjacent buildings. By 1 a.m., the LAFD reported that over 100 firefighters had achieved knockdown of all the involved structures. According to LAFD Spokesperson Margaret Stewart, the primary fire, which was the three-story apartment under construction, extended to a vacant single-family dwelling and two sheds. One adult male was evaluated for a medical complaint. It is not known at this time if the male was ultimately transported to a hospital.
