VARIOUS OF COLOMBIAN PRESIDENT GUSTAVO PETRO BEING WELCOMED WITH OFFICIAL CEREMONYTEGUCIGALPA, HONDURAS - APR. 8: Leaders from Uruguay, Bolivia, Colombia, and Cuba arrived at the Presidential Palace in Tegucigalpa on Tuesday, Apr. 8, to meet with Honduran President Xiomara Castro ahead of the 9th CELAC Summit. A welcoming ceremony was held in front of the palace for Presidents Yamandu Orsi of Uruguay, Miguel Diaz-Canel of Cuba, and Luis Arce of Bolivia. The summit, scheduled for April 9, will gather representatives from all 33 member states of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC) to address key regional issues, including integration, peacekeeping, and migration. The annual meeting seeks to promote unity and enhance cooperation among Latin American and Caribbean nations in confronting shared challenges.
