BUENOS AIRES, ARGENTINA - APRIL 10, 2025: The General Confederation of Labour (CGT), one of Argentina's largest labor unions, called a 24-hour general strike to protest President Javier Milei's economic policies. The strike caused major disruptions in transportation and public services. While many schools and workplaces in Buenos Aires remained open, hundreds of flights were canceled, and train and metro services were halted. Buses continued to operate as the UTA union did not join the strike, but a significant drop in passenger numbers was reported. Writing by Nur Zeynep Dukmen
