Meet KJ, the baby who was told he wouldn't be able to walk who is now taking his first steps after three heart surgeries.

The boy's mother told Newsflare: "This is KJ. He was diagnosed in utero with a heart condition called HLHS where the left part of the heart is underdeveloped. At just 2 days old he went under his 1st of 3 heart surgeries.

"All went well until he was 2 months old after he became sick and a lack of oxygen to his brain where he has an ischemic stroke. He was then diagnosed with cerebral palsy and lost the ability to use his body and eat on his own. Doctors said he also had whats called severe HIE and probably wouldn't be able to walk talk and have severe vision problems.

"He's now 21 months and with lots of hard work and therapies KJ has made strides. He's able to walk assisted. He's able to eat a little by mouth, but still depends on his feeding tube. He's babbling and starting to use his hands. He's the most joyest boy ever. And everything that was put against him he's proving a lot of people wrong and showing how strong he truly is!"
