Rare Tornado from Shelf Cloud
It was Easter Sunday, we had gotten the kids around to hunt Easter Eggs up on our mountain. I looked at the radar before we went out there, and as I’m hiding the Easter Eggs the Tornado Sirens from all of the weather apps I use started going off and then the Tornado Sirens at the schools and Police Dept. This tornado is my 431st tornado that I’ve documented in my 31 years of doing Atmospheric Science. This is a very rainwrapped tornado, and when those happen you have to just run in and hope for the best. I had to force my drone to land between trees because the wind was taking it away, we were getting 90mph wind gusts. Thankfully no one, nor any animals were harmed in this storm.
