PROTESTOR DOV KNENIN SAYING (ENGLISH): “Thousands of Israelis came here to this demonstration to say, very clearly, we refuse to this continuation of cruel and senseless war in Gaza. The war in Gaza is very dangerous for all of us. It is dangerous for the Israeli hostages. It is dangerous for the Palestinians. It is dangerous for the future of both Israelis and Palestinians, and therefore the war should stop now. And we as Israeli citizens, we say very clearly, we refuse to this war. We oppose it, and we will fight against it. This is This is horrible. You know the fact that 18,000 children actually were killed in Gaza. Every child is, you know, innocent. He's not a warrior, he's not a terrorist, he's a child. And each child had a future that he had. He had to live. And you know, all of us cry for these children, all of us cry for the Israeli hostages, all of us cry for all the casualty of this cruel and senseless war.” TEL AVIV, ISRAEL - APR. 24: Thousands of protesters gathered on Thursday (April 24) in Tel Aviv, Israel to demonstrate against Israeli war on Gaza and to draw attention to thousands of children killed during the war. The non-governmental organization "Standing Together", made up of Israeli and Arab activists, organized a demonstration carrying photographs of Palestinian children who lost their lives in Israel's attacks on the Gaza Strip. Chanting slogans and carrying photos of the deceased children, they drew attention to the fact that over 18,000 children have lost their lives in Gaza. They also called for an immediate end to the attacks on Gaza, the provision of humanitarian aid, and an end to the ongoing war. Israel has systematically targeted civilian facilities, including schools, hospitals, and places of worship, amid its offensive on Gaza. Under the rules of war, targeting civilian facilities can constitute a war crime. Israel resumed its offensive on the Gaza Strip on March 18, abandoning a ceasefire and prisoner exchange agreement that took hold in January. It has killed nearly 51,400 Palestinians, most of them women and children, in the enclave since October 2023. Last November, the International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza. Israel also faces a genocide case at the International Court of Justice for its war that has left the territory on the brink of famine.
