Phoenix, United States - April 25, 2025 04/25/2025 06:00 pm (GMT-0700) PHOENIX, Ariz. – Phoenix police officers responded to an unknown call for service at Salaita's restaurant located at 16th Street and Roosevelt Street. An officer at the scene stated that they believed the incident occurred around 6 p.m. but could not confirm the exact call time (scene footage was gathered around 1:30 a.m.). Upon arrival, officers located an unidentified stab/laceration wound victim. Phoenix Fire Department personnel responded to the scene and transported the victim to a local trauma center in critical condition. Per police at the scene, the victim was later pronounced deceased. The Phoenix Police Department's Homicide detectives responded to the scene and assumed command of the investigation. No suspect information has been released.
