Jerusalem, Israel - April 30, 2025 The Israel Police, along with Border Police, Fire Department, the Nature and Parks Authority, and emergency services, continue to deal with several fires that broke out in the Sheflat Yehuda area near Jerusalem. This necessitated the evacuation of residents of the towns of Neve Shalom and Latrun, and preparations are underway to evacuate additional towns, including Nachshon, Bekoa, Mesilat Zion, Tirom, and Taoz. The police emphasize that the evacuation is being carried out immediately for the safety of residents, while adhering to the instructions of the security forces and avoiding approaching danger areas. Highway 3 between Latrun and Nachshon has been closed in both directions, and the public is asked to take alternative routes.
