Quadruplets of Barbary lion cubs rest in their enclosure with their mother. The four Barbary lion cubs were born in January 2025 at Safari Park Dvůr Králové Zoo in the Czech Republic. The four cubs are gradually exploring the outdoor enclosure with their mother. They are getting used to visitors and the hustle and bustle of the zoo. The Barbary lion is an extinct form of the largest African predator, with the last recorded population in North Africa. In the wild, they lived up to 14 years. The Barbary lion has completely disappeared from the wild. In the past, this large subspecies of lion inhabited North Africa. It was there, in the menagerie of the Moroccan king, that dozens of lions survived, whose cubs were gradually distributed to zoological gardens.
