Federal Minister for Information, Broadcasting, National Heritage and Culture Attaullah Tarar dismissed the accusations amid rising tensions between the two countries. Tarar strongly rejected India’s claims that militant camps were operating in the Bela Noor Shah area, located 26 kilometers from the Kashmir border, and emphasized that Pakistan does not train militants in the region. Highlighting the presence of schools and normal civilian life in the area, Tarar invited journalists to speak with local residents for verification, saying the region was peaceful and functioning like any ordinary community.
