Ravenous monkey steals tourist's lunch in park in Bali
This is the shocking moment a ravenous monkey stole a tourist's lunch in a park in Bali.
Machi Mar and her friends were strolling along the pavement when they encountered the mischievous primate at Sangeh Monkey Forest in Abiansemal, Kabupaten Badung.
Footage shows the macaque swiftly snatching her green eco bag, which contained chips, on April 19.
The monkey then dashed off with the bag while the holidaymakers laughed at the amusing incident.
In another clip, the cheeky primate is seen rummaging through the bag, taking the snack before climbing onto a stone wall.
Machi quickly retrieved her bag and checked inside, only to discover the food was gone.
Authorities are urging tourists to maintain a safe distance from monkeys, as these animals can become aggressive if they feel threatened.
Monkey bites can pose serious health risks, including wound infections, the herpes B virus, and rabies.
