Wild monkey breaks into class and snatches food from student at university in Taiwan
This is the terrifying moment a wild monkey broke into a class and snatched food from a student at a university in Taiwan.
The seemingly hungry macaque entered the classroom during a Calculus lesson at National Sun Yat-Sen University in Kaohsiung on December 16 morning.
Footage shows the primate ambling towards the woman eating bread. It then aggressively approached the frantic student to grab the snack and walked out of the room.
The student reportedly did not sustain any serious injuries from the encounter.
Monkeys, like other animals, can become aggressive when they feel threatened or cornered. Risks from monkey bites include serious wound infections, the herpes B virus, and rabies.
Locals speculated that the monkey, unable to find food in the forest during the winter, broke into the campus to search for food.
