The two leaders were expected to explore measures to ensure stable economic relations, particularly in establishing a reliable financial system and aligning efforts in global energy markets. Following the talks, they are set to sign a strategic partnership agreement, as confirmed by Russian Presidential Aide Yury Ushakov. Maduro's visit to Moscow also comes ahead of Russia's Victory Day celebrations on May 9, marking the Soviet Union's victory over Nazi Germany in World War II. The Venezuelan leader is among several foreign dignitaries attending the commemorative events.
