A disabled cat has been given a new chance at life after being fitted with a set of wheels.

Angel, just nine months old, was rescued as a kitten from a wood yard.

Angel is blind in her right eye and paralyzed in both back legs.

Ronnie, 45, and his wife Mari, 52, adopted Angel as a kitten.

They recently invested £67 in a set of wheels designed for animals to help her gain more independence.

Ronnie, originally from Manchester but now based in Coin, Spain, said: "Angel is active and bounces around the garden, sliding around while wearing a nappy. "

"The nappy prevents abrasions on her hindquarters. "

"We're hoping to get the modified set of wheels can increase her independence."

Angel recently recovered from coronavirus and was hospitalized for a week.

Ronnie is waiting for her to regain strength before trying the wheels again.

Ronnie said: "She lost about 400 grams during her illness, so we're waiting until she's stronger. "

"She's been a fighter from the start."
