Mexican training ship crashes into Brooklyn Bridge in New York, USA
On May 17, 2025, in New York, USA, @.psych.facts. shared a video showing a Mexican maritime training vessel crashing into the Brooklyn Bridge. In the video, the tall ship Cuauhtémoc had departed the dock less than five minutes before attempting to cross under the bridge. As it sailed forward, the vessel reached a speed of 6 knots (approximately 6.9 mph) before its masts collided with the historic span. A distress call for additional tugboat assistance was made about 45 seconds before the impact.
