The girl's mum told Newsflare: "My daughter Abigail is a 16 years old and has been a part of Native Youth Olympics since she was in the 1st grade. This is her favoruite sport and she dedicates herself year round to improve her skills in the events.

"They brought the Toe Kick back into the State Competition last year, 2024. It was left out of the State competition for 10 years. Abigail took 2nd place last year and has been practicing.

"Abigail blows on her hands and shakes her hands and moves her feet to keep agile and ready to jump. The stick is placed 4” away after every successful kick. As a mum, I love to watch her prepare for this kick."
