Gaza - May 29, 2025 IDF forces under the Southern Command continue to operate under the guidance of the Intelligence Directorate and the Shin Bet against militant groups throughout the Gaza Strip, as part of Operation "Gideon's Chariots". During the activities of the five maneuvering divisions in the Gaza Strip, weapons, militant infrastructure, and underground infrastructure were destroyed. In addition, the forces attacked sniper positions, observation posts, anti-tank positions, and military structures of armed factions in the Strip from the ground. In several operations over the past 24 hours, IDF forces identified armed operatives operating near them. Through rapid operational responses, the forces directed Air Force aircraft that attacked and eliminated the individuals. Over the past 24 hours, the Air Force struck dozens of militant targets throughout the Gaza Strip. Among the targets attacked were fighters, military structures, observation and sniper posts that posed a threat to the forces in the area, tunnels, and additional combat-related infrastructure. IDF forces continue to operate against hostile groups in the Gaza Strip to protect the citizens of the State of Israel.
