OWNER OF DEMOLISHED HOUSE, ANWAR SAMIH AL-NA'SAN SPEAKING TO REPORTER (ARABIC)WEST BANK, PALESTINE - MAY 29: The Israeli army demolished two homes belonging to Palestinians in the occupied West Bank cities of Ramallah and Nablus early Thursday, May 29. According to the Palestinian news agency WAFA, Israeli forces raided the Salam neighborhood in western Nablus overnight, placing a residential building under siege. After forcing the residents out, they blew up the apartment allegedly belonging to Jaafar Muna, who was killed by Israeli forces on August 18, 2024. In another incident north of Ramallah, Israeli bulldozers razed a garden belonging to the village council of al-Mughayyir. Troops then forcibly evacuated the home of Anwar Samih Al-Na'san and demolished it. According to Palestinian figures, illegal settlers staged 341 attacks against Palestinians and their properties in the West Bank last month. Since the start of the Israeli onslaught on the Gaza Strip on Oct. 7, 2023, at least 970 Palestinians have been killed and more than 7,000 injured in attacks by the Israeli army and illegal settlers across the occupied West Bank, according to the Palestinian Health Ministry. The International Court of Justice declared last July that Israel’s longstanding occupation of Palestinian territories is illegal, and called for the evacuation of all settlements in the West Bank and East Jerusalem.
