US, Los Angeles: Downtown Los Angeles Waymo Gets Stuck in Crime Scene
Los Angeles, United States - June 01, 2025 06/01/2025 03:45 am GMT-0700 DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES, Calif. – A Waymo self-driving vehicle became trapped behind crime scene tape at the scene of a stabbing incident at the intersection of Grand Avenue and 11th Street. Officers from the Los Angeles Police Department's Central Division approached the vehicle and discovered that it was unoccupied. As they investigated, the vehicle's windows automatically rolled down, and a human voice emerged from inside the car. The officers were able to communicate with a Waymo representative remotely, allowing them to guide the vehicle's operator away from the scene.
