Los Angeles, United States - January 10, 2026 01/10/2026 01:50 am GMT-0800 DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES, LOS ANGELES, Calif. – Los Angeles Police Department's Newton Division officers responded to reports of a shooting at the intersection of 7th and Mateo streets. Officers arrived on the scene and found an unresponsive male on the sidewalk. The Los Angeles Fire Department later pronounced the victim deceased at the scene. A male suspect, described as a security guard and armed with a sharp object, fled on foot. No further details are available at this time.
