Orphaned newborn foal finds a mother in grieving mare - heartwarming footage shows their first meeting
After losing his mother during birth, this foal was given a second chance to find motherly love.
Klaudija and her young children got in the car and travelled across the countryside with the newborn foal in the back, making for some wholesome clips of the animal nuzzling the kids.
The mum told Newsflare: "After losing his mother during birth, this newborn foal got a loving second chance. We gently placed him in the trunk of our car and drove him across the countryside to meet his adoptive mare. Along the way, he bonded with our children, sniffing them curiously and drinking milk from a bottle. This heart-melting video captures his first steps into a new life – full of cuddles, hope, and an incredible will to live.
"A grieving mare who had just lost her own foal during birth, and an orphaned newborn colt who lost his mom the same day he was born.
"After being rejected by a first adoptive mare, he was brought to her—and something beautiful happened. She gently accepted him as her own, and a bond was born out of shared loss and natural instinct.
"This video captures their first touching meeting, a moment filled with healing, hope, and new beginnings."
