thrill-seeker jumps off hanging log above frosty natural pool in the Pacific Northwest
While hiking through the forest in Washington State, I came across an enticing blue pool with a perfectly placed fallen tree hanging high above it. This was a true thrill-seeker moment, as I realized it looked a perfect natural diving board. After checking the depth of the freezing pool, I carefully checked the log to see if it would move or snap. Once I felt comfortable, I took the plunge into the cold water below and had that pristine mountain water all to myself, with nobody else around for miles.
