During the scorching summer months, when temperatures approach 50 degrees Celsius (122 Fahrenheit), one of the island's most iconic scenes unfolds near the village of Suhail: camels wading into the sea in the early morning hours, accompanied by their herders. This practice helps regulate the animals’ body temperature and offers natural healing benefits, as the salty seawater is believed to cleanse their skin of parasites and aid in wound healing.
